Aiming to create regional platform “Camerata Balcanica – Western Balkans Youth Classical Music Chamber Orchestra”, the association of artists “ArtLink” from Belgrade, in partnership with “ArtPlus” from Tirana and the “International PeaceCenter” from Sarajevo, are opening:
A CALL for YOUNG CLASSICAL MUSICIANS from the WESTERN BALKANS
ABOUT THE CALL:
The Camerata Balcanica initiative serves to create a sustainable cultural platform for the exchange of young artists, their mobility and cooperation across the entire Western Balkans (WB) and contribute to improving their creativity, professionalism and artistic excellence while building togetherness and a new brand of the Region through a musical ensemble advancing a positive image of the Region.
The initiative foresees the creation of a regional platform “Camerata Balcanica – WB Youth Chamber Orchestra” which will set high artistic standards and provide young classical musicians from the Region with a reliable career development program and access to a music market in the WB and the EU as well. Prominent artists and mentors will provide young classical musicians with a set of tailor-made master classes and workshops, while young artists will perform at concerts and festivals that support this platform.
The artists selected in this Call will have performances with FedorRudin, Concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic (in September 2020), and workshops with violinist Pavel Doležal, Concertmaster of the Janáček Philharmonic. More mentors will be included in the program.
Camerata Balcanica, implemented by ArtLink from Belgrade in partnership with ArtPlus from Tirana and the International Center for Peace from Sarajevo, is funded by the Western Balkans Fund.
WHO CAN APPLY?
This Call is opened for classical musicians from the Western Balkans aged up to 25.
