Biography
Nikolina Maričić was born in Rijeka (Croatia) in 2001, where she began her musical education in the class of prof. Yove Yordanova and prof. Igor Petrushevski. Between 2015 and 2020, she attended the School for Musically Gifred Children in Ćuprija in the class of Prof. Božidar Radosavljević.She is currently doing her bachelor studies at the Kunstuniversität Graz in the class of prof. Vesna Stanković-Moffatt. She won numerous prizes at international competitions in the categories for solo violin, chamber music and orchestra. She attended masterclasses of world-renowned musicians such as Kyril Zlotnikov, Grigori Kalinovski, David Bowlin, Alexei Lundin…
She is mostly engaged as an orchestral musician, and since last year she became a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester as a part of which she had the opportunity to perform in concert halls across Europe, some of which are Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Teatro alla Scala Milano, Gewandhaus Leipzig and Musikverein Vienna. She collaborated with world-renowned conductors, such as Daniele Gatti, Teodor Currentzis, Mei-Ann Chen and Jukka-Pekka Saraste.
