David Horvat, violin, winner of the ArtLink – Société Générale Most Promising Young Music Artist Award for 2014

The New Years’ concert of violinist David Horvat, the winner of the 10th Anniversary ArtLink – Société Générale Most Promising Young Music Artist Award for 2014, was held at the Grand Hall of the Kolarac Endowment on Sunday, 4 January 2015 at 12:00.

David Horvat started playing the violin at the age of 7 in the School of Music for Specially Gifted Children in Ćuprija. He won multiple national and international competitions including the First prize at the Kocijan competition in the Czech Republic. He was the first child from Serbia who passed the exam at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School for music talents in London. Receiving the scholarship David became the student of prof. Natasa Bojarski. He performed in Sweden, the Netherlands with Het Brabants Orkest – Eindhoven as the youngest soloist ever, in Switzerland and in Serbia. David regularly performs in the Royal Albert Hall as a part of his training.
