French Pianist Jean-Paul Gasparian in Novi Sad
Young French pianist Jean-Paul Gasparian delighted the Novi Sad audience with a concert in cooperation with the French Institute, Societe Generale Serbia and the Music Youth of Novi Sad.

Born in Paris in 1995, in a family of musicians, he started learning the piano at the age of 6 and entered Olivier Gardon’s class at the Paris CRR, where he graduated in 2009 (with the congratulations of the jury). In February 2010 he was admitted to the National Conservatoire (CNSM), where he first studied with Jacques Rouvier and then Michel Beroff (Licence graduation in June 2013, unanimous jury). Jean-Paul finished his Master in the class of Michel Beroff and Laurent Cabasso with the highest mention. For the past six years, he has been working regularly with Mrs Tatiana A. Zelikman.
Jean-Paul is laureate of several international competitions:
Winner of the Bremen European contest, Germany, and the prize for the youngest finalist 2014.

In 2013 he has also obtained the 1st philosophy prize at the Concours général des Lycéens de France (French national contest).
In 2014 he played the Tchaikovsky concerto twice: in Bremen (at Die Glocke) with the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra, and in Aguilas, Spain, with the Murcia Symphonic Orchestra, for the opening of the season. He also played Beethoven’s 1st concerto with the Opéra de Rouen Orchestra, Chopin’s 2nd concerto with the Garde Républicaine and Mendelssohn’s 1st concerto in the Salle Gaveau in Paris with the Alliance Orchestra.
His recital at the “Flâneries de Reims” in June 2014 has been broadcasted live on Medici.tv, and his Radio France recital on France Musique (Gaelle le Gallic’s program) also. The same year, Jean-Paul was selected for the famous Verbier Academy and worked with Stephen Kovatchevich, Gabor Takacz, Klaus Helwig, and others.
Jean-Paul was invited to festivals such as Chopin de Bagatelle, Flâneries de Reims, Piano en Valois, Nancyphonies, L’Eure poétique et Musicale, Liszt en Provence, Automne Musical de Taverny, Véxin, Pianos Folies, salle Pleyel in Paris and all over the world: in Salzburg (Mozarteum), Leipzig (Bundesverwaltungsgericht), Belgrade ArtLink Festival (City Hall, Old Palace), Tel-Aviv (Museum of Modern Art), Podgorica, Montenegro, Holland, Bremen, Sthur and many others.
In January 2015 he played Gershwin’s Rhapsody in blue for the opening of the Piano Campus Festival, then a solo recital in the Parisian Salle Cortot, Mendelssohn’s 1st concerto with the Orchestre Symphonique de Caen in March and Mozart’s 24th concerto with the Musikkolegium Winterthur in Zürich Tonhalle in June. During summer 2015 he had recitals at the Nohant Festival, the Touquet “Piano Folies” and in Germany, in Bremen and Berlin. In October 2015 he will play Rachmaninov’s 2nd concerto in Belgrade with the Radio Television Symphony Orchestra, at the ArtLink Young Talent’s Festival. His schedule for 2016 already includes a solo recital in the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris, on 15 January, and a concert tour with the Basse-Normandie Orchestra (Mozart’s 24th Concerto), recital in Cordoba Festival in November, and several others.
